In the event that overseas Chinese students unfortunately encounter emergencies such as traffic accidents, in addition to immediate assistance provided by the University’s overseas Chinese student support staff, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has established a 24-hour “Emergency Reporting Hotline” (0910-152-035) to provide necessary assistance.
Furthermore, the OCAC has stipulated the “Guidelines for the Provision of Medical Emergency and Funeral Condolence Subsidies for Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Taiwan for Study.” Any enrolled overseas Chinese student who, while studying in Taiwan, incurs significant financial burdens due to hospitalization from illness or injury, or in the event of death, may apply for subsidies through the OCAC (contact window: (02)2327-2820).
