Regulations for the Establishment of the Budget Committee

Department of Semiconductor Engineering Lunghwa University of Science and Technology

Article 1 In accordance with Article 8 of the Department’s Organizational Regulations, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) establishes the Budget Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”).

Article 2 The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:

1. Drafting, reviewing, and revising the Department’s budget allocation regulations.

2. Reviewing the Department’s budget allocation regulations.

3. Reviewing the annual capital and operating budget allocations of the Department.

4. Supervising the execution of the annual capital and operating budgets of the Department.

5. Other matters related to budgeting.

All deliberations shall be preliminarily reviewed by the Committee, then submitted to the College Budget Committee for secondary review, and finally forwarded to the University Affairs Committee for resolution.

Article 3 The Committee shall consist of five members, all of whom shall be full-time faculty representatives of the Department. The Department Chair shall serve as an ex officio member, convener, and chair of the meetings. If the convener is unable to attend, the convener may designate another full-time faculty member to preside over the meeting. Relevant personnel may be invited to attend meetings as needed.

The Committee shall convene at least once per academic year, and extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary.

Article 4 At least one-half of the members must be present for the Committee to convene. Resolutions require the approval of more than one-half of the attending members.

Article 5 These Regulations shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
