Guidelines for the Curriculum Committee
Department of Semiconductor Engineering Lunghwa University of Science and Technology
Article 1 In accordance with Article 8 of the Department’s Organizational Regulations, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) establishes the Curriculum Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”).
Article 2 The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:

Drafting, reviewing, and revising the regulations for student course enrollment and graduation credit requirements.

Reviewing the Department’s curriculum subject list.

Reviewing elective subjects offered each semester, the number of credits, and the course allocation table.

Reviewing the Chinese and English course descriptions of the Department’s subjects.

Other matters related to curriculum.
The above deliberations shall also include the Continuing Education Division. All matters shall be preliminarily reviewed by the Committee, then submitted to the College Curriculum Committee for secondary review, and finally forwarded to the University Curriculum Committee for resolution.
Article 3 The Committee shall consist of four faculty representatives and at least one student representative. Depending on needs, 2–4 external members from academia, industry, or alumni may also be invited to serve as committee members. The Department Chair shall serve as an ex officio member, convener, and chair of the meetings. Faculty representatives shall be elected from among the full-time faculty, while external academic representatives, industry representatives, alumni, and student representatives shall be recommended by the Chair. If the convener is unable to attend, the convener may designate another full-time faculty member to preside over the meeting. Relevant personnel may be invited to attend meetings as needed.
The Committee shall convene at least once per academic year, and extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary.
Article 4 At least one-half of the members must be present for the Committee to convene. Resolutions require the approval of more than one-half of the attending members.
Article 5 These Guidelines shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
