
Department of Semiconductor Engineering Lunghwa University of Science and Technology
Article 1 In accordance with Article 8 of the Department’s Organizational Regulations, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) establishes the Teaching Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”).
Article 2 The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:
Drafting, reviewing, and revising the Department’s teaching regulations and teaching objectives.
Reviewing the Department’s teaching regulations and teaching objectives.
Other matters related to teaching within the Department.
All deliberations shall be preliminarily reviewed by the Committee, then submitted to the College Teaching Committee for secondary review, and finally forwarded to the University Teaching Committee for resolution.
Article 3 The Committee shall consist of five members, all of whom shall be full-time faculty of the Department. If the number of faculty members is fewer than five, all faculty members shall serve as the maximum number of members. The Department Chair shall serve as an ex officio member, convener, and chair of the meetings. The remaining members shall be elected from among the full-time faculty. If the convener is unable to attend, the convener may designate another full-time faculty member to preside over the meeting. Relevant personnel may be invited to attend meetings as needed.
The Committee shall convene at least once per academic year, and extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary.
Article 4 The Committee may establish planning subgroups to discuss relevant matters:
Curriculum Planning Subgroup: Responsible for planning all required and elective courses across programs, with regular review.
Program Planning Subgroup: Responsible for planning interdisciplinary program courses and executing related administrative matters.
Capstone Project Subgroup: Responsible for implementing and reviewing matters related to capstone project execution.
Article 5 At least one-half of the members must be present for the Committee to convene. Resolutions require the approval of more than one-half of the attending members.
Article 6 These Regulations shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
