
Department of Semiconductor Engineering Lunghwa University of Science and Technology
Article 1 In accordance with Article 8 of the Department’s Organizational Regulations, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) establishes the Development Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”).
Article 2 The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:
Drafting, reviewing, and revising the Department’s future development regulations and strategies.
Reviewing the Department’s development regulations and strategies.
Other matters related to departmental development.
All deliberations shall be preliminarily reviewed by the Committee, then submitted to the College Development Committee for secondary review, and finally forwarded to the University Development Committee for resolution.
Article 3 The Committee shall consist of five members, represented by full-time faculty of the Department. If the number of faculty members is fewer than five, all faculty members shall serve as the maximum number of members. The Department Chair shall serve as an ex officio member, convener, and chair of the meetings. The remaining members shall be elected from among the University’s full-time faculty. If the convener is unable to attend, the convener may designate another full-time faculty member to preside over the meeting. Relevant personnel may be invited to attend meetings as needed.
The Committee shall establish the following subgroups:
Evaluation Subgroup: Responsible for coordinating and integrating departmental affairs in preparation for evaluations.
Admissions Planning Subgroup: Responsible for recommending policies related to entrance examinations, unified enrollment, special admissions, athletic admissions, transfers, and related matters.
The Committee shall convene at least once per academic year, and extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary.
Article 4 At least one-half of the members must be present for the Committee to convene. Resolutions require the approval of more than one-half of the attending members.
Article 5 These Regulations shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
