Implementation Guidelines for the Establishment of the Curriculum Planning Committee

Department of Semiconductor Engineering Lunghwa University of Science and Technology

Article 1 In accordance with Article 9 of the Department’s Organizational Regulations, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) establishes the Curriculum Planning Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”).

Article 2 The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:

  1. Drafting, reviewing, and revising the Regulations for Curriculum Establishment and the Regulations for Curriculum Offering of the Department.

  2. Reviewing the Regulations for Curriculum Establishment of the Department.

  3. Reviewing the Regulations for Curriculum Offering of the Department.

  4. Other matters related to curriculum planning and establishment.

The above deliberations shall also include the Continuing Education Division. All matters shall be preliminarily reviewed by the Committee, then submitted for secondary review, and finally forwarded to the University for resolution.

Article 3 The Committee shall consist of six members, represented by full-time faculty of the Department. If the number of faculty members is fewer than six, all faculty members shall serve as the maximum number of members. The Department Chair shall serve as an ex officio member, convener, and chair of the meetings. The remaining members shall be elected from among the full-time faculty. If the convener is unable to attend, the convener may designate another full-time faculty member to preside over the meeting. Relevant personnel may be invited to attend meetings as needed.

The Committee shall convene at least once per academic year, and extraordinary meetings may be held when necessary.

Article 4 At least one-half of the members must be present for the Committee to convene. Resolutions require the approval of more than one-half of the attending members.

Article 5 These Guidelines shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
